More about Noble Firs: Noble fir  or Abies procera is commonly called red fir or white fir. This true fir is impressive and limited to the Cascade Range and Coast Ranges of the Pacific Northwest. Noble fir attains the largest dimensions of any of the true fir species.  It’s a slow grower and likes lower temperatures and high precipitation. Seedlings typically require 3 years to reach a height of  1 ft, about double of the time of a Douglas Fir, for example.
Noble fir is considered an excellent Christmas tree because of its beauty, stiff branches and long keep ability. Noble fir represents between 50% and 60% of the fresh Christmas tree market in the Pacific Northwest and is a major source of greenery.
Noble fir is generally found at elevations between 3,000 and 5,000 ft  in the Cascade Range of central Washington and in the Coast Ranges of Oregon. Occasionally is found at lower elevations.
